Artist's Statement
The first time I truly noticed birds, I was a young girl in Pennsylvania, sitting alone in my backyard near a creek at the base of a mountainside. In that quiet moment, surrounded by the rhythms of the natural world, the birds became a source of unexpected comfort. Their effortless flight, their songs carried on the wind, offered solace during a painful memory.
Since then, birds have remained a symbol of healing and connection for me —a living reminder of nature's quiet power to uplift and transform. Through my lens and paintings, I try to express that sense of wonder and emotional resonance. Art allows me to honor the memory of those moments and capture the subtle, sublime spirit that nature offers when we're still enough to receive it.
